Rescue Diver
The PADI® Rescue Diver course is transformative, enhancing your diving experience in the best ways imaginable. You’ll learn to recognize and resolve small issues before they escalate, build substantial confidence, and enjoy serious fun throughout the process.
Phu Quoc has two main diving areas: North and South.
- North: Sheltered, good for beginners, limited dive sites.
- South: More exposed, better diving with various sites, but conditions can change quickly.
General:
- Shallow diving (10-12 meters)
- Excellent reef condition
- Marine life: Bamboo sharks, Blue spotted rays, Scorpion fish, Nudibranchs, Crustaceans, Cuttlefish, Octopus
- Water temperature: 28-31 degrees
- Visibility: 10 meters
- Currents: Changeable from October to May
It instructor, guide, equipment, theory, insurance, pick-up services.
Lunch, snacks, refreshments, fresh fruits, coffee, pick up and drop off from all over the island.
- Minimum Age: 10 years old for certification, 8 years old for shallow water experience.
- Swimming Ability: Basic swimming skills are required, but not expert-level.
- Certification Duration: Lifetime, but a refresher dive is recommended after a year of inactivity.
- Photos and Videos: Yes, your instructor will take photos and videos during the Open Water course.
- Safety: Scuba diving is safe with proper training and adherence to safety protocols.
- Courses Offered: Ocean Sound offers PADI Open Water, Advanced Open Water, and various specialty courses.
- Course Costs: Course fees vary, with Open Water starting around 440$.
- Equipment and Insurance: Equipment rentals and insurance are included in course fees.
